On the 26th of April representatives of People in Need, in the presence of the academia, students and the public, handed the needed equipment for their library worth 25 000 USD (12 843 USD  of which has been collected thanks to our fundraiser) over to the University Library of Mosul. If you joined our campaign, it is thanks to you that the students, teachers and the public can use the library with dignity. The library slowly regains its status as a centre of education not only in Mosul but in the whole region. 

We give our sincere thanks to all who found our initiative to help the destroyed library as worthy and joined our efforts in whatever way they were able. <3 

Our journey to help the library by giving them the gift has reached its end. The web page for the fundraiser will remain active for at least a year, after which the page will expire.

Because of the astonishing success of the Let’s help the Library! collection in the end of the 2017, we decided to extend the collection to the end of the January 2018.

We managed to collect nearly 35 000 CZK in only last ten days of December. Sum of the donations on Monday January 1st was 190 568 CZK. 

You can still help the war-devastated Central Library of the University of Mosul by donation in money boxes or cashless using payment card or a wire transfer. 

Let’s Help the Library! fundraiser collection will be completely finished on Wednesday, January 31st. Collected money will be then handed over to the representatives of the University of Mosul, with the assistance of People in Need organization.
